Phoenix fire bans take effect: What you need to know
The City of Phoenix and Maricopa County are banning open fires as summer arrives.
PHOENIX — In Arizona, summer heat and dry conditions mean skyrocketing wildfire risk.
To address the danger, Maricopa County and the City of Phoenix are starting their bans on open fires today, which are expected to last through September.
