Questioning the use of a military plane to deport undocumented Indians from the U.S., the Congress has announced that all its State units will stage protests on Friday (February 7, 2025).

“We strongly oppose both the inhuman treatment of our citizens and the government’s weak stance on this issue,” Congress general secretary K.C. Venugopal said in a post, adding all Pradesh Congress Committees would hold protests at State capitals and district headquarters.

On Thursday, Indian Youth Congress chief Uday Bhanu Chib led a protest in the national capital against the “inhuman treatment of Indian deportees”.

“This is an insult to India and Indians on the world stage,” Mr. Chib said.
