Cultural event to mark 128th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose
The Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Memorial Committee in coordination with All India Democratic Youth Organisation, All India Mahila Sanskritik Sanghatane, and the All India Democratic Students’ Organisation will organise the three-day Sanskrutika Janothsava from February 7 to mark the 128th birth anniversary of the revolutionary leader.
Committee convener Mahesh Nadagouda and AIMSS district secretary Seema Deshpande, addressing a press conference on Saturday, said that the committee would inaugurate the Sanskriti Janothsava at SSL Law Degree College on February 7.
Former Supreme Court judge J. Chelameswar would inaugurate the seminar. V.N. Rajashekar, State vice-president of Education Save Education Committee, would be the guest.
On February 8 evening , Ramesh Londonkar, Registrar, Gulbarga University would inaugurate the cultural events at Kannada Bhavan. These include revolutionary songs, Qawwali, various forms of dance, mime and a theatre play.
On February 9 evening, the committee would be screening a Kannada movie ‘Daredevil Mustafa’ based on poornachandra Tejaswi’s short story.
