'Many AAP leaders will go to jail': BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri's big claim ahead of Delhi polls

Ahead of the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri made a major claim, alleging that “many AAP leaders will go to jail.” Bidhuri accused Congress, Mamata Banerjee, and Arvind Kejriwal of granting rights to “Bangladeshi infiltrators” and Rohingyas, claiming that AAP and Congress MLAs were involved in providing fake Aadhaar cards to them.
The claim comes amidst ongoing investigations into a fake Aadhaar card racket, which has already prompted Delhi Police to issue notices to AAP MLA Mohinder Goyal and his office staff, as per news agency ANI. According to reports, the authorities are investigating a case involving the arrests of Bangladeshis and the recovery of fake Aadhaar cards.
In response, AAP national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, expressed shock over the allegations made by BJP. Referring to claims made by AAP MP Sanjay Singh, Kejriwal said that the BJP had resorted to dishonest tactics, including creating false votes.
“The revelations made by AAP MP Sanjay Singh are extremely shocking. The BJP is playing with the reputation of the Election Commission,” said Kejriwal. He also accused the BJP of engaging in fraud during the election process, alleging that party leaders were registering votes in a fraudulent manner from various addresses, including those of Union ministers.
Kejriwal further added that Ramesh Bidhuri’s name would soon be announced as the BJP’s chief ministerial candidate. Kejriwal challenged Bidhuri to justify his candidacy, questioning what he had done for the development of Delhi during his time as an MP. “I congratulate Ramesh Bidhuri on becoming the CM face of BJP. But what is his vision for Delhi?” Kejriwal asked, adding that a debate should be held between the CM candidates of AAP and BJP for the people of Delhi.

Speaking at a press conference Sanjay Singh had alleged that the BJP had distributed Rs 1,100 among voters.
“We have received information from sources that leaders of the ‘Galli-Galoch’ party were given Rs 10,000 each by their party to distribute. Their leaders believed that, given there was no chance of winning the election, they should save Rs 9,000 and only distribute Rs 1,100.”
He challenged the party to reveal the truth, asking, “Did you give Rs 1,100 to your leaders to distribute among voters or not? Let the public know the reality… I urge the ‘Galli-Galoch’ party to tell the truth to the people… The citizens of Delhi must now expose the corruption of the ‘Galli-Galoch’ party…”
Earlier, Delhi CM Atishi took a jab at the BJP, mocking the party for not having a clear candidate, only to claim that it had decided on Ramesh Bidhuri, whom she labelled as the leader who “hurls the most abuses.” Atishi’s comments were made in the context of Bidhuri’s controversial remarks about her and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi.
The elections for the 70-member Delhi assembly are scheduled for February 5, with counting on February 8.
